“ Definitely some of the best Indian food I’ve had on the coast. I am Indian myself and there is not a lot of access to the Indian culture down here so I was very surprised with a lot of the menu items. They had some of these items I haven’t seen since I was a little child. I would definitely recommend their customer. Service was amazing. They were so nice to me to my family. the vibes are great and overall the food is amazing. 10/10 ”
“ A hidden gem of a restaurant with amazing food and some of the friendliest service I've ever come across. The staff has always been very accommodating to our large parties, the food is flavorful and decently portioned, and the atmosphere is calm and comfortable. If you like Indian food, you'll like this place. If you're on the fence about Indian food, this place will make you a fan. The naan and samosas here are excellent, and the chicken vindaloo is just the right spice level with top-notch flavor. I've been multiple times for family occasions now, and will continue to go here. Do yourself a favor and try this place out if you haven't. ”
“ I stopped in for lunch today and I was not disappointed. I had the chicken Tikka masala with garlic Naan and some honey cauliflower for a starter and everything was delicious. I loved the cauliflower, and the chicken was very good too. The Naan was a little crispy for my taste but it was still very good. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good spot. ”
“ We had the best group dinner. The food was delicious. Every thing came out smoothly with plenty of time to enjoy starters before entrees, enjoy conversation. Service was timely and courteous. This is our favorite spot for Indian food on the Coast. ”
“ HWY to India is an incredible place to eat - whether you are a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or are trying it for the first time! It is family owned, and the love and care they put into the food and their guests is evident. The owner is happy to walk you through his personal suggestions or answer any questions about dishes from the menu. The best biryani I’ve had yet! ”
“ My word... If you’re a fan of Indian cuisine and live on or near the Gulf Coast, you MUST check out Hwy to India! Quite literally the most delicious Indian meal I’ve ever had, if not one of the best meals EVER. My server was kind and knowledgeable and made my experience even better. Try the Chicken 65 and Madras Coffee! Naan was also spectacular. Even the rice was something special! ”
“ Great Indian restaurant. Kind of a hole in the wall vibe. While I was there I saw multiple locals/regulars come in to pickup orders. I ordered Honey Cauliflower, Masala Dosa, Shrimp Madras Curry and Garlic Naan. I was excited to find Dosa on the menu, Employee was super helpful and chatty, explained all of the various dishes and how to eat them when he brought them out. Food was not as spicy as some Indian food I've had. Everything was delicious, would come again when I'm in OS. ”
“ A Journey Through South Indian Flavor – One Course at a Time Started with a bowl of Tomato Rasam, fiery and fragrant with dried chilies, cumin, and curry leaves—like sipping spice-laced comfort. Then dove into the main event: Chettinad Chicken Curry, rich with roasted spices and deep Southern soul. Paired with fluffy basmati rice and Malabar Paratha, flaky, buttery perfection layered like edible art (yes, I took a picture—look at those spirals!). Sweet finale? Gulab Jamun—two golden orbs of syrup-soaked joy. And to top it all off: a bold, creamy Madras Filter Coffee, frothed and poured just right. Every dish hit a different note—heat, spice, sweetness, and depth. A full South Indian experience I won’t forget. ”
